McLemoresville on the 4th of July is THE place to be. The whole town is buzzing with activities but here on the Square is the center of the celebrating. Hamburgers, hot dogs and ice cold drinks are sold at the 'Hamburger Stand' and people make long lines to place their orders.

  Live County music is provided by various bands and everyone gets in on the 'Cake Walk' to see if they can win one of the delicious pastries donated by the wonderful cooks in the area. After the Cake Walk the music goes on for those who like to just sit and listen or those that like to get up and dance.

The Community Service Group, made up of dedicated women from McLemoresville and the surrounding area makes home-made ice cream to sell at this and other town functions to help raise funds for many projects. All proceeds from the hamburger stand and ice cream sales on the 4th of July goes to help support our local McLemoresville Volunteer Fire Department.
